Freedom
Fighters ...
Fellow Hydrofoilers.
I would like to announce a new event that will take place this 4th of July weekend in sunny Grand Junction, Colorado on a private and pristine lake.
The Freedom Fighters Invitational is a new event dedicated to our Armed Forces both near and far. I have gotten word that at least a few of these brave men and women will be in attendance. There will also be Pro riders from all over the country battling it out in some sort of timed format aimed towards a sick trick - Armed Forces judged event. Once I get a count on confirmed riders, I will put that number to work and see what all we can squeeze in.
This event is foremost dedicated to our Armed Forces and they will get the limelight on the water. Whether they want to have a demo/clinic sesson or whatever. Big Chad will be in attendance, so maybe we'll have a Coors chugging contest?.?
Posters will be made of the event, let me know if you want me to bring you an extra.
Anyways, if you're reading this and want to come to the event, please contact me off-list so I can take you into account.

Thanks and I look forward to a successful and progressive event!
Event date: 2-28-09
Location
I've got a couple updates and directions via google earth to the 'site'
Lat: 39° 6'57.22"N
Lon: 108°39'39.21"W
It's located beside I-70 off exit 26 on River Road.
There are two lakes side by side and ours will be the one to the East.
Our course will be about 1/3 mile with plenty of room. When I rode on this lake last year I got about 3 tricks in comfortably at 26 mph (behind a full loaded X-Star that had plenty of turning radius). Because of the Jam Session format, this will work to our central vantage point advantage with having the action within a short distance from both the spectators and the riders.
Event
The Freedom Fighter Committee has decided that having a wakeboard competition would be an exciting addition to the event! I have already been in contact with many of the top wakeboarders in the eastern Colorado region and they are very excited to be part of the event and cause. Some of the riders I've contacted are excited to see professional hydrofoiling and are also interested in trying the sport out. Having a progressive event for more than one progressive sport could prove to be beneficial to our small sport and the industry.
The fact remains that this is going to be an Armed Forces dedicated event that will be lay ed back to say the least compared to past tournaments. I have already booked out at least Ten best of the best hydrofoilers on the planet and now some of the top wakeboarders in Colorado. Many sponsors have dedicated product that will be on-site during the event for demonstration (something that has been lacking very much in the past). Some of the products include; Bullet Release, Samson Hydrofoil Rack, MasterCraft boats, X-Treme Wings (hopefully T-Bar ;P), etc,.
Sponsors
I'd like to announce the sponsors thus far for the event. I hope you consider them in any upcoming purchases that are in their realm of industry.
MasterCraft - S&W WaterSports - Xtreme Foils - Pride Homes, Inc - The DarkSide - Samson Sports - Rocky Mountain Hydrofoil Club - East Coast Hydrofoils - Dragon Optical - Sullen Clothing - NuSkin, Live Strong Team - R.K. Dilligaf Builders - Peak to Peak Reality - StraightLine
I've received good feedback from companies ranging from Ogio to Red Bull on the event. Companies like these are working up sponsorship packages that will be released for the event soon, but I'm optimistic about one of these companies co-headlining the event.
What can I do?
If you're reading this and you want to be apart of the event, there are many things you can do. If you would like to show your appreciation for our Armed Forces and our progressive sport industry, feel free to contact me for a Sponsorship Package that will outline various ways to sponsor and/or donate to the Event. If you're a local enthusiast and would like to come check out the excitement, feel free to drop by. There will be various products (mentioned above) that will be on-site for demonstration If you think you'd like to show your stuff in the Jam Session event, give me a call and I'll get you some water time!
There will be decent press coverage for the event and cause we are supporting. The local television news companies have been notified and are excited to come out and get a glimpse into the festivities. One of the Committee members that wakeboards works at the local cable company and thinks that Fuel TV or Amped TV will be on-site. Exciting stuff!
Contact me if you're interested in getting involved. There is no donation or sponsorship too small of what the Freedom Fighters Event wants to accomplish for our sports and troops.
Thanks for your time!
